Operations and Logistics Manager (Czech Republic/Slovakia)

We are now consolidating our local presence in Сzech Republic/Slovakia. Under the leadership of the Country Manager, we are assembling a dynamic team that will anchor our next phase of growth in the region.  

We are looking for the Operations and Logistics Manager who will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities across all local Meest transshipment warehouses in the country. This includes managing warehouse teams and schedules, optimizing space usage, ensuring safety compliance, handling line-haul transport operations, and managing courier recruitment, route planning, and performance control.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage day-to-day operations of all local transshipment warehouses in the country.  
  • Supervise warehouse staff, shift schedules, space utilization, and warehouse safety protocols.  
  • Ensure efficient and timely handling of line-haul transportation.  
  • Recruit and manage couriers across local branches.  
  • Plan courier delivery routes to serve both B2B customer pickups and Meest Box Network point deliveries.  
  • Monitor and report on courier performance and service quality metrics.  
  • Track and report on all operational costs of the national branch.  
  • Drive cost efficiency improvements by developing and optimizing the local operational infrastructure.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with business goals.  

Requirements 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or transportation operations (preferred courier logistics)  
  • Proven leadership and team management skills in an operational setting.  
  • Strong understanding of cost control, logistics planning, and route optimization.  
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in warehouse environments.  
  • Experience in working with TMS/WMS systems and courier dispatch tools.  
  • Fluent in the local language and working proficiency in English.  
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.  

Employment Conditions 

  • Full-time employment contract or B2B cooperation.  
  • Work based on national branch location, with regional travel as required.
