We are now consolidating our local presence in Romania/Hungary. Under the leadership of the Country Manager we are assembling a dynamic team that will anchor our next phase of growth in the region.
We’re looking for a proactive and goal-oriented Country Sales Manager, who will be responsible for leading a team of Area Sales Executives in a specific market. Your mission will be to drive individual and team sales performance, support strategic client acquisition, and continuously optimize the local sales process. You will play a hands-on leadership role while contributing directly to key deals and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management & Coaching
- Recruit, onboard, and train Area Sales Executives for your market.
- Set and track weekly/monthly sales goals, assign leads, and monitor performance.
- Lead daily and weekly team meetings to review targets, pipelines, and challenges.
- Provide ongoing coaching – attend client meetings, assess activities, and improve pitch techniques.
- Build a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Sales Execution & Market Development
- Co-develop and execute the sales strategy for your market (client acquisition, shipment volume growth).
- Personally support key negotiations and help close large deals with strategic clients.
- Monitor market trends and competition to identify growth opportunities.
- Report results and team KPIs to the Country Manager and Sales Director.
Sales Process Oversight
- Oversee the full sales funnel – from lead acquisition to client onboarding and support.
- Ensure proper use of CRM (lead statuses, activity logging, documentation).
- Monitor team KPIs – conversion rates, sales cycles, outreach activity, and pipeline value.
- Collaborate with Sales Support and Business Analysts on offers and performance data.
Cross Departmental Collaboration
- Work closely with the Country Manager to implement market strategy and support P&L performance.
- Coordinate with Customer Service on onboarding and client issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Sales Support and other teams as needed.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as new customer segments, sales process automation, or tool implementation.
Forecasting & Reporting
- Conduct weekly/monthly forecast reviews with the team.
- Assess effectiveness of marketing activities and lead sources – share feedback with HQ.
- Escalate operational bottlenecks and process issues when necessary.
- Prepare monthly reports on team performance: new clients, contract value, conversions.
- Define future team development needs – skill-building, specialization, headcount planning.
Requirements
Hard Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in managing B2B sales teams in logistics, e-commerce.
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems and data-driven sales management.
- Ability to build and execute local market strategies and sales plans.
- Experience with forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Fluency in English (B2/C1); other EU languages are a plus.
