Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to frequently asked questions about our benefits and cooperation below.
What exactly will I be responsible for when running a parcel service point?
Your main task will be receiving and handing out parcels with ready-made labels, such as e-commerce returns. You can also offer additional services, such as packaging assistance or selling packing materials.
Do I have to handle a specific number of parcels per month?
No, there are no minimum parcel volume requirements. However, remember — the more parcels you handle, the more you earn.
Are there any monthly fees or subscriptions?
No, our partners don’t incur any costs related to parcel handling. You’ll receive a free starter package that includes all the necessary software and promotional materials.
Why must the point be open until 6:00 PM?
Customers most often pick up their parcels between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. We want to ensure easy access to their shipments, which is why we require extended opening hours.
Ideally, your point should be open at least 8 hours on weekdays and 4 hours on Saturdays. How much storage space do I need for parcels?
At the beginning, around 1–2 square meters of shelving should be enough for parcel storage.
What is the average parcel size and weight?
Most parcels are small or medium-sized, up to 1 kg, with dimensions around 20 × 20 × 10 cm, or courier envelopes containing items purchased online.
What equipment is needed to handle parcels?
You’ll need a smartphone or computer connected to a barcode scanner. A simple and intuitive Meest Partner App will be installed on your device.
Does the app use QR codes?
Yes, the app scans QR codes both when handing out and receiving parcels.
How much can I earn by handling parcels at my location?
You’ll receive a commission (specified in the contract) for each accepted, handed out, or registered parcel. Your final earnings will depend on the monthly parcel volume.
How often does the courier arrive?
Usually once or twice a day, depending on the courier company.
How many parcels per day can I expect?
Partners typically handle between 5 and 50 parcels daily, depending on location and point visibility.
Do I need an additional employee?
No, you don’t. Parcel handling can be done by one person alongside your regular business activities.
How long do parcels stay at the point?
Typically 3 days, but the recipient can extend the pickup period by 7 additional days for a fee. You’ll receive compensation for each extra storage day.
Can I send my own parcels?
Yes, you can register your own shipments in the app under special partner conditions.
What happens if a parcel is lost?
Each case is reviewed individually. If a parcel is lost after being received at your point, responsibility lies with the point. Therefore, it’s essential to follow all procedures for accepting and storing parcels.
Are live training sessions available?
Yes, training is mainly conducted in person, with optional online sessions available.
How are settlements handled?
Settlements are made monthly. At the end of each billing period, an invoice is issued based on the number of handled parcels as specified in the agreement.
How can I resign from running the point?
The partnership can be terminated with one month’s notice or by mutual agreement. Ending the cooperation does not involve any penalties.
What if I need to temporarily close my point due to illness, travel, or vacation?
Simply report your planned absence in the system — parcels will not be directed to your point, and customers will be notified accordingly.
Who can I contact in case of problems?
You can reach our technical support team via the in-app chat or by calling the Meest helpline.
Does the contract include a non-compete clause?
No, there’s no such clause. You are free to cooperate with other networks as well.
Will my point be promoted online?
Your location will appear on the Meest map and partner maps. A dedicated online business card page will also be created for your point. We also encourage local promotion on your own channels.
